Technical specifications

HY-TEC’s North Melbourne concrete plant supplied one of Melbourne’s largest continuous concrete pours of 1050 m3 for the raft slab, with a total supply of 4000 m3 of concrete ranging from 20 MPa up to 80 Mpa over the six month period.

Hy-Tec’s technical personnel worked with the project builder Multiplex and contractor Form 700 to design a concrete which would minimise the effects of thermal cracking while still achieving sufficient early age strength. 

HY-TEC continues to supply concrete for this project with construction of the 22 storey complex expected at end of first quarter in 2010.
